The Beggar and the King

There once was a beggar who lived and slept in a cardboard box.

He thanked all people who walked past, even though none gave him money.

In just a few days, he was as rich as the King.

Upon hearing this news, the king came down from his castle in the clouds, demanding the beggar trade houses.

The king spent the next three days in the cardboard box, ordering people to give him money, but no one did.

Meanwhile, up in the castle in the clouds, the beggar was sitting on the grass outside,

smiling, thanking the sun for its gold.

Moral: We are rich when we feel rich inside. We are poor when we feel poor inside.
